Tim Podesta —
Tim is a graduate of the Australian Ballet School and as a dancer worked with numerous companies internationally performing soloist roles in works by Ashton, Hynd, Balanchine, Bournonville, Taylor, Caniparoli and many more.
In 2006 Tim founded Tim Podesta + PROJECTion Dance. The company serves as a laboratory for artists, therapists and practitioners to explore developments in dance and the evolution of dance across many borders including professional dance performances, film, specific areas of dance medicine and inclusive dance practice.
Works by Tim Podesta + PROJECTion Dance have been performed in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, The United States, Europe and South Africa receiving multiple nominations and awards including their work on the winning ‘Best Foreign Film’ at the Queens International Film Festival in New York.
In 2015 Tim Podesta + PROJECTion Dance will have the world wide release of the film ADOR. ADOR is the first film of its kind, featuring dancers from The Queensland Ballet, Singapore Dance Theatre, The Hong Kong Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, Singapore Dance Theatre, Australian Dance Theatre, English National Ballet and Guest Principal Artist of The Royal Ballet, Mara Galeazzi.
Alta Starè will have its Premiere in July at the International Ballet Star Gala in July 2015 at Hatch House in the UK.
Melbourne Ballet will Live Stream a new duet from Tim Podesta + PROJECTion Dance in July 2015.
Tim Podesta + PROJECTion Dance will have the new work Walk the new Walk premiere at Tempo Dance Festival in Auckland, New Zealand in October 2015.
